Celebrating Another Student Placement at Southmead Development Trust

This autumn we’ve been fortunate to host two Occupational Therapy students on a placement from UWE. Marcus and Jo have really got stuck in. You may have chatted to them on the phone or out and about, met them at coffee morning, or been joined by them in a fitness class. They’ve been really helpful in supporting the groups we run at Greenway Centre and getting new initiatives off the ground, such as our Monday lunch club. Thank you both!

We sadly said goodbye to them last week after their 11 week placement came to an end. It felt like they’d been here much longer than that! We wish them well for their Occupational Therapy futures.

The Trust has enjoyed hosting students on placements before. Architecture and Planning students have helped to progress our community led housing scheme on Glencoyne Square and we are working with students from SGS College in the new year. We look forward to seeing other talented people walk through our doors!

If you’re an organisation who is interested in finding students a placement, do get in touch with us on info@southmead.org
