Southmead’s Got Talent: this Saturday

There’s something for everyone at the Southmead Festival this Saturday.  On the outdoor main stage we have our fantastic local band Hooper as the headline, plus Deja Two, CJ, and Jodie Payne.  On the indoor community stage we have a fabulous line up of Southmead Residents performing: Distraction Dance; Line Dancers; Indian Dancers; the Happy Band; Meadows to Meaders: the Southmead Soap Opera; Greenway Zumba display; and Bill Golding’s Keyboard Solo.

The day is Southmead’s celebration of all things community and is hugely popular with residents in North Bristol.  For the second year running the Festival has been proudly organised by the community’s charity Southmead Development Trust.  Team Southmead, the community’s group of volunteer organisers, has generously donated the proceeds from their monthly Quiz Nite to support this year’s event.

As always the festival is free entry with free activities such as the rodeo bull ride, the bouncy castle and the bungee runner.

There’s also a funfair, craft stalls and festival delights from Greenhouse Café and bar and R&B Soul Food Caribbean cuisine.

The forecast for this Saturday is sun, sun, sun so come along and join in the fun, fun, fun of the festival season Southmead style – everyone welcome.
