The Southmead Project’s 25th Anniversary!

The Southmead Project is celebrating its 25th year anniversary in the heart of community!

We provide one-to-one counselling for people that have experienced abuse in childhood. We also have counselling specifically for people that have developed an addiction to drugs or alcohol as a way of coping with the abuse they have experienced. A counsellor will work to help that person reduce their alcohol or substance intake and they may be referred for our longer-term counselling if this is appropriate.

Please note that our clients do not need to have an addiction to receive counselling with us. Our highly skilled counsellors can support adults who live in the Southmead area, as well those in wider Bristol and its surrounding areas.

Our Family Support Group takes place on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00pm. Anyone can join if they have a loved one facing addiction issues who may be in need of support. This is a drop-in group where someone can come for as many sessions as they wish, in a welcoming and non-judgmental environment.

If you would like any further information on the work of the Southmead Project, joining the family group or are interested in supporting us, please contact us on admin@southmeadproject.com or 0117 950 6022.
