Southmead Creative Writing Group has a new facilitator!

We have a new facilitator joining Southmead Creative Writing Group!

Leeza Awojobi is a calm, creative and conscientious poet and storyteller based in Bristol. She loves to use her poetry to delve deep into fundamental human nature, exploring ideas and issues which often go unnoticed. She is interested in what makes humans tick, especially in regard to how our worldviews affect the way we creatively problem solve and interact with our culture. She has headlined at Raise The Bar’s monthly ‘Spotlight’ event and having been funded by the Arts Council and supported by the Creative Youth Network in Bristol, she is a capable workshop facilitator. She uses her poetic skills to open up discussion and cracks the nut of human behaviour, holding it in a new light for us all to see.

Here is a link to Leeza’s website which shows some of her work:

Leeza is super excited about her beginning to work with the group, which has great things planned for this coming year (including more performance poetry and another book!).

The group starts back on Wednesday 11th September, meeting weekly on Wednesdays 10.30am-12pm.  Everyone is welcome!
