Treasure Box by Dawn Payne

In my treasure box are memories of you.

Little pink bonnet, edged with delicate rose buds,

and pink ribbons too.

A lock of hair tied in a band,

a white little mitt to cover your hand,

Your first tiny watch,

you went on to have many more!

A scrunchy which tied your beautiful hair.

It’s with deepest love I really care.

A bracelet from your dad with special chosen charms,

you are both together now, in each other’s arms,

these are my treasures I love so much,

but I still miss your face and gentle touch.
