Home-Start Bristol is recruiting parents and grandparents to support families, with at least 1 child under 5, who are struggling to cope with family life.
Our next course start 20 September – and is just down the road at Lawrence Weston Community Farm! It will run every Thursday (except half term) for 9 weeks from 10am-2pm – so it fits perfectly with school runs too.
The course is accredited so volunteers can also opt to do some additional coursework to gain a level 2 qualification.
Once volunteers have completed the course they will be matched with a local family who they will visit a family every week for 2-3 hours to offer practical and emotional support – one parent to another.
